Digestive System
Digestive system is made up of the digestive track & other organs that are involved in breakdown and absorption of food. It is a long twisting tube that starts from mouth and goes to the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine & anus. The digestive system breaks down food into nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats and proteins. They can then be absorbed into the blood stream so the body can use them for energy, growth & repair. Unused materials are discarded as faces (poo).
